Folding phones were thrust in to the spotlight recently with both Microsoft and Samsung announcing the Surface Duo and Galaxy Fold 2 respectively. Both devices offer very different interpretations of the folding phone form factor and intended use cases, with Microsoft aiming for a dual screen book-like experience, while Samsung double downed its concept of a phone that can also be a tablet when unfolded. Steve and Ben discuss these devices and the possible potential for them in the smartphone world. They also discuss an update on the Australian Government’s proposed media code which has now seen Facebook provide a strong response against it by suggesting they will pull news from its Australian sites.
