The coronavirus pandemic has had a dramatic impact on the world, but it has also fed aspects of society that indulge in conspiracy theory thinking with a range of baseless claims being made about the origins and reasons behind the cause of the pandemic. Everything from 5G, to Bill Gates to plots against Donald Trump being raised as the reasons for the pandemic, there is no shortage of misinformation about what has caused the most serious public health issue in generations. Steve and Ben examine the COVID-19 conspiracy theories currently making the rounds, as well as touching on the latest cluster that has developed in New Zealand, a country that had enjoyed 102 days free of the coronavirus but is now scrambling to contain an unexpected outbreak in Auckland.
