After years of speculation, Apple has announced that it will begin a two year transition for the Macintosh away from Intel based chips to its own inhouse, custom-built Apple Silicon chips, a move that will unify all of their platforms, mobile and desktop, under the same architecture. Steve and Ben discuss Apple’s plan to move to their own SoCs for the Mac and the implications for their ecosystem.
