The death of George Floyd in Minnesota at the hands of police officer Derek Chauvin has become the catalyst for widespread protesting across all fifty states in America about police brutality and targeting of African Americans, including in many case, their deaths at the hands of police. There has also been rioting and looting in the streets, which combined with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, has led to scenes of violence, tragedy, further police brutality and seemingly apocalyptic scenes one might expect from a dystopian piece of science fiction. Steve and Ben discuss the current State of America, and how one tragic event lit the spark of protest by the public against the various inequities that are still at the heart of American society.
