After the past three years of President Donald Trump using Twitter as a means to broadcast his populist and often misleading messaging, Twitter has now responded by adding fact-check guidance links and other disclaimers to Trump’s most recent tweets advising users of their misleading content. In the most recent case, Twitter hid one of Trump’s tweets they said violated their new Civic Integrity Policy. Steve and Ben discuss Twitter’s latest actions and Trump’s subsequent Executive Order to retaliate against Twitter, while also discussing how this all affects the balance between free speech and responsibility in an age where truth and fact do not seem to resonate any more with the voting public.
