Sleep is one the most fundamental biological activities that humans engage with in their life that is vital and necessary to good health. However sleep patterns have changed over time, with humans living in the pre-industrialised age having bi-phasic sleep patterns which contrast with the current eight hours of sleep model recommended for good health.
