In what could turn out to be one of the biggest tech acquisitions to date, Microsoft recently announced that they would be acquiring Activision Blizzard, a deal which would see a stable of high profile game franchises come to Microsoft and possibly be incorporated in to their Xbox gaming platform. Steve and Ben examine the announcement of this acquisition, and the reported coverage that this deal is just as much about gaining a foothold in the current metaverse discussion as it is about bolstering Microsoft’s place in the gaming space.
