It was only a matter of time before a Star Trek actor made it to space, but in what can only be described as a press release that writes itself, Captain Kirk himself, William Shatner, became the oldest person to go in to space courtesy of Blue Origin. The iconic Star Trek actor had a moving experience, spending 10 minutes floating above the Earth. In more space news, a new planet has been discovered with an unusual slingshot orbit and properties such as aluminium rain. Steve and Ben discuss this week in space news, as well as returning to the topic of COVID, and Australia’s plans to re-open its borders now that vaccination rates have hit very high levels amongst the local population.
