As the number of coronavirus cases and deaths soars in the United States, President Donald Trump has recently taken his signature argumentative style to a new level with the press, with very long press briefings designed to combat the media with familiar sound bites of fake news and hoax rhetoric while at the same time deflecting attention away from any criticism he and his administration are receiving on their response to the coronavirus pandemic so far. Steve and Ben examine Trump’s recent performances at the podium and how not even a global pandemic was enough to stop the toxic bipartisanship still playing at the heart of American politics.
