The novel coronavirus has caused widespread concern throughout the world since it first spread out from Wuhan in China in late 2019. With approximately ten thousand people infected so far, the majority of which are in China, health authorities are working diligently to try and isolate and contain the virus to stop it from spreading, including quarantine lockdowns of the cities in China that are at the epicentre of the outbreak. This outbreak has led to widespread coverage and is having impacts on everything from tourism to diplomatic relations, particularly between China and the rest of the world. Steve and Ben examine the story of the outbreak of this virus, as well as the various reactions to it in the media, the authorities and the public.
