YouTube has provided a platform for anyone to become a star while circumventing the traditional means to get there. One group of these new stars are the intellectuals, a group of very smart people who spend their time mounting intelligent discussions and debates for the public discourse, and who had previously only been confined to institutions such as universities, or if successful, have written books or gone on speaking tours. Jordan Peterson is the exemplar of these new YouTube intellectuals who have found a huge audience online that they otherwise would never have gained at University, but likewise, have also courted controversy. Steve and Ben examine intellectuals and their discussions in the YouTube and social media era, how they debate and argue with each other, and whether or not they are more evangelical in their pursuit of their own arguments than they are likely to admit.
