Microsoft may have potentially started 2015 on the right foot with not only very promising announcements around Windows 10, the next version of its venerable operating system, but some truly futuristic technologies, with the Hololens being the stand out: it paints PC-based 3D UI on real world objects around you so you can interact with them, and has the potential multiple practical applications. The technology looks exciting, and feeds in to what Google Chairman Eric Schmidt refers to as The Internet Of Things, where the internet as we know it will become so pervasive in our daily lives that it will disappear; we won’t even sense it.
